Cardiff Castle in Wales

The Norman Keep was contructed by Robert Fitzhamon. in the early 19th cebtury the castle was enlarged and refashioned in an early Gothic rivival style by henry holland but its transformation was undertakon by william Burges.

The castle's original purpose was to be used as a base for controlling the countryside. In the time, it became a resindence, and it was much rebuilt during the 19th ventury

It's located in Chepstow, Monmouthshire in Wales.

Chepstow was heavily modified and added too during the 12th century, and the 13th century mostly domestic work being carried out.
It was the southermost if a chain of castles built along the English border in Welsh Marches. It was built to subdue the Welsh of Gwent.
